A little vacation...

What a fabulous weekend I had! We left Thursday night and got down to Cayucos just before midnight, got settled into our beach condo and passed out.

Why is it when you're on vacation your body insists on waking up early?? The one time I can sleep in and my body says "WAKE UP!".

We took a tour of Hearst Castle, what an amazing place! I have way too many pics so just thought I'd pick my favorite....care to take a dip?
We spent 3 days wandering the coast between Cayucos, Morro Bay, Pismo Beach, San Luis Obispo and even Solvang (what a cute little Dutch town!). The plan was to leave on Sunday and head back home so we could use Monday to recoop. Yea, well....didn't happen. We stumbled into Carmel and that was the end of that!
It was so wonderful there! The shops, the restaurants, the homes, the beach, the people...the DOGS!!! Seriously, if you don't have a dog then you won't fit in Carmel. EVERYONE was walking around town with their pup, the restaurants even had separate Pet menus!!!! Once the shops close down everyone heads to the beach to walk along the gorgeous white sand and, you guessed it, let the dogs run free along the beach. So next time we visit Carmel, I'll have to rent a dog!

But you know what I noticed?! There is not one scrapbook/stamp store in the entire town!!! Can you believe it?!?! All those adorable stores, all that tourism...it would be the perfect fit!!

I can't wait to get back to some of my projects, I have a Stamp Play night coming up on Friday and then Stampers 10 club meeting is on Saturday....so much to look forward to. AND the new catty is almost here! Can you believe it?!?!?! Time is just flying by!

Hi Jill,
I came here to look at your bella book someone cased from you and stumbled across your vacation blog. I had to comment! I use to live not to far from Solvang...we were stationed at Vandenberg AFB. I just loved going to Solvang to the lil' tourist shops...so much fun! You would've had to go to Santa Maria to find you a cool lil' stamp shop:) Not many people have heard of Solvang so I had to stop by and say hi:)
Take-Care,
Tanya
